He surprised his camp mates with his rather interesting story about the British royal family. According to Burrell, he had to resort to unconventional means to get into the good books of the Queen. He employed the services of a few sausages to get the job done.

The former footman of Queen Elizabeth was spotted by the royal when he just began to work with the family at 18.

To test his suitability, she had asked him to walk her corgis, and Burrell, who had guessed as much, was ready with sausages to impress the dogs.

He told his camp mates that his sausage trick was a hit with the Queen’s corgis. According to the former royal staff, the Queen had followed the proceedings and was impressed. He worked with the Queen for 11 years before he went on to serve Princess Diana.

His Corgi story is not the only royal gossip his camp mates have heard. He also weighed in on the old rumor about Prince Harry’s paternity.

Real Housewives of Sydney star, Jackie Gillies, asked Burrell if Prince Charles was the real father of Princess Diana’s second son, and the former butler confirmed that he was.

He also said that at the time of Harry’s birth, his mother was still very married to Prince Charles and she had not met James Hewitt who was her partner before her death.
