Paul McCartney, George Clooney, Kanye West, And Many Other Celebrities At The "March For Our Lives"
“March for Our Lives” is a student-led rally for gun control and school safety measures in the wake of the Parkland mass shooting. A lot of celebrities supported the movement by raising awareness and donating money.
"March for Our Lives"
The rally was held on Saturday, March 24, in the form of the anti-gun violence demonstration that took place in Washington D.C. and many other cities across the country and even across the whole world. It was organized by students of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School where Nicolas Cruz killed 17 people with an AR-15 rifle on February 14.
“March for Our Lives” happened to be one of the most significant events over the last decades, as thousands of people participated one way or the other in it. Moreover, hundreds of celebrities supported the students’ voice.
Support from celebs
Celebs, such as Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, George Clooney and Amal Clooney, Charlize Theron, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian with their 4-year-old daughter North West, Lady Gaga, Jimmy Kimmel, Laura Dern, Olivia Wilde, and many more attended the march and spoke out about gun violence.
People have had enough of the guns. The government cannot ignore this loud and clear voice. You know that the changes are there to happen when the MLK’s little granddaughter, Yolanda Renee King, speaks up and demands reforms: “I have a dream that enough is enough.”
Demi Lovato, Ariana Grande, Rita Ora, and many more singers performed on a stage that day to support the movement.
Sir Paul McCartney was also spotted in the crowd. He said:
One of my best friends was killed by gun violence right around here.
Even celebrities that are currently over the sea supported the students. Madonna posted a video of her four children with an inspiring speech.
We hope that this noble mission to prevent mass shooting at schools will succeed, and we will never ever have to face such terrifying tragedies again!
