Not So Popular After All: Britons Vote Prince William And Kate Middleton 6th In New Celebrity Neighbor Poll
Long before Prince Harry and Meghan Markle became the center of attention in Britain, Prince William and Kate Middleton were winning the hearts of millions. Their popularity at a time even became a sore spot for Prince Charles.
Royal commentators insinuated that the heir to the throne was unhappy with the attention Prince William and his wife were getting, a situation that seemed to distract Britons from his persona.
Royal author Tom Bower in his book, “Rebel Prince: The Power, Passion and Defiance of Prince Charles”, stated that Prince Charles was quite troubled by the entire situation.

Once Kate married William, Charles grew worried that the public’s attention was switching to them.
However, the royal couple may not be as popular as it seems. In a new survey conducted by Go Compare, Britons were asked to name celebrities they would love to have as neighbors.
Although Prince William and Kate Middleton made the list, they came in a dismal 6th place when results were announced. It is a bit surprising since news outlets consider the couple to be one of the most popular British celebrities. Is their shine fading?
Sir David Attenborough topped the list while food writer and television presenter Mary Berry came in second.
The results may suggest not too many people are interested in having the royal couple as next-door neighbors, but public opinion of the duo is still quite high.
Attention on the royals spiked earlier this year when they welcomed their new baby boy, Prince Louis. However, the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle quickly eclipsed the buzz. Still, it would be awesome to have royals living next-door.
