Michelle Obama Got A Sweet Message From Barack Obama On Her Birthday
On January 17, 2017, Michelle Obama, a former First Lady of the United States, turned 54. She remains one of the most popular First Ladies in American history for good reason.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, she earned a degree from the prestigious Harvard Law School in 1988. She was married to Barack Obama in October of 1992.
To mark the occasion of her birthday, the former president shared this photo of him and Michelle on Instagram. He also posted a sweet birthday note and expressed his love for her.
You’re not only my wife and the mother of my children, you’re my best friend. I love your strength, your grace, and your determination. And I love you more each day. Happy Birthday, @MichelleObama
Michelle also had a delightful response to the post, which she also shared on Instagram. She also appreciated all people who sent gifts, cards, and messages to celebrate her birthday.
Thank you @BarackObama for the beautiful flowers waiting for me in the office this morning. You’re my best friend, biggest fan, and getting notes and flowers from you will never get old. And to the many people from around the country who sent cards and posted on social media, you have no idea how much we love hearing from you. I know birthdays can sometimes be bittersweet (54!), but your messages of hope, generosity, and warmth have always reminded me how lucky and blessed we are.
There has been an unending flow of reactions to both posts on social media as people continue congratulate Michelle.
Her social work
Michelle Obama spent most of her time in the White House supporting several causes. They include working with military families, developing fitness programs for kids, as well as promoting the organic-food movement.
She also released a book titled American Grown: The Story of the White House Kitchen Garden and Gardens Across America in 2012 to further encourage healthy eating in America.
Happy Birthday, Michelle Obama.
