Despite their religious dissimilarities, Sir Michael and his beautiful wife, Shakira Baksh, have the most beautiful love story. She is a Muslim, and he is a Christian, but the way they made it work is almost astonishing. They’ve been married for 46 years, and the two are still going strong.

The legendary actor came across Shakira by watching her on TV, doing an ad for Maxwell House coffee in 1971. Michael thought her to be the most beautiful woman he’d ever seen. So, he became obsessed with trying to find her. A friend in the advertising business helped him and discovered that she lived in London, only a few miles away from him. The couple ultimately tied the knot on 8 January, 1973, in Las Vegas.

Hitting the beach in style

On Wednesday, April 10, Michael and Shakira took their love to Barbados. There, the pair relaxed for some time as they hit the beach. Delightfully at ease, the eminent duo seemed to enjoy each other’s company. Mr. Caina sunbathed in a blue shirt and shorts. He was looking handsomely fit, even at age 86. Ain’t it true, real class never fades!

Beside him was Shakira who had slipped her flawless figure into a green and black swimsuit. She swayed through the golden sand looking absolutely gorgeous at 72. Being a natural beauty, she totally rocked a makeup-free look.

Their only daughter

Michael and Shakira have only one child together, a daughter named Natasha Haleema, 46. She has two children of her own from her second marriage. Currently, Natasha is a single mother as both of her marriages had failed.
