We’ve been watching Chip and Joanna Gaines in HGTV’s reality series The Fixer Upper. To us, they’ve been forever together. Their relationship has reached a major milestone, and it makes us realize how far they’ve actually traveled and come.

Joanna used to serve at her father’s Firestone Tire store in Waco, Texas. She once appeared in an advertisement for the family business. Chip saw her in the commercial and instantly fell in love with her. It took him many fakely broken brakes to finally get to meet her. After dating for just a year, they married on  May 31, 2003.

Sweet 16

Chip and Joanna have managed to build an empire of their own. They have flourished in their personal lives and have five beautiful kids together. With a combined net worth of $18 Million, the pair has achieved a lot by joining their forces. However, all this bliss wasn’t developed overnight, the two have tirelessly worked for it for the last 16 years.

To mark their 16th wedding anniversary, Joanna dedicated a lovely message to her husband. She posted a picture of her and Chip, all cuddly and expressed her love, captioning:
