Inhuman! Protest Erupts After Dunkin' Donuts Employee Dumps Water On Sleeping Homeless Man
On Monday, around 20 people with signs that read “Homeless lives matter” and “Homeless are human,” gathered outside the Dunkin’ Donuts in New York to protest again the inhuman actions of one of the store’s employees.
The protests sparked after the video of a Dunkin’ Donuts employee dumping water on a homeless customer emerged on social media. The clip shows a man sitting behind the table with his head down while his phone is charging next to him. A worker comes up behind the man and pours a pitcher of water on him, which makes the man immediately stumble up.
The man is identified as Jeremy Dufresne. He is homeless and suffers from mental illness. He comes to the store to charge his phone and on that unfortunate day, he was charging it to make a call to his mother.
The worker, who hasn’t been identified, and the person shooting the video, are heard laughing at Dufresne. And then the employee says:

How many times I’ve got to tell you to stop sleeping in here. You’re here all day. How many times do the people and the customers have to tell you to stop sleeping in here.
People reacted on social media
The Dunkin’ Donuts owner released a statement saying he is “extremely disturbed” by what happened in the store. The worker is believed to be suspended.
