Health Scare Forces Tom Jones To Cancel The Concert Again

The 77-year-old star, famous for hits like It’s Not Unusual, Delilah, and Sex Bomb, was ready to start a lengthy tour across the United States last year but had to postpone it until 2018 on doctors’ orders.

His representative stated:

Following medical advice, Sir Tom Jones has announced that he will, unfortunately, be postponing his US tour, which was due to commence in Bethlehem, PA on Wednesday 6th September. Dates are being re-scheduled for May and June 2018 and all tickets will remain valid for the new dates, details of which, will follow as soon as possible.

He continued:

Tom sends his sincere apologies to his fans and looks forward to seeing them all again in 2018.

The reason why doctors advised Sir Tom to postpone the tour has not been revealed. But it seems that the old health issues came back.

Jones announced on his Facebook page that he is canceling his performance at the HOB Chicago. The statement said:

It is with great regret that due to a throat infection we have taken doctor’s advice to cancel the performance this evening at the HOB Chicago. This decision has not been taken lightly and we look forward to returning to “The House of Blues” as soon as we can. Refunds can be obtained at the point of purchase.

Despite that, fans shared their support:

The singing legend had already suffered from a throat infection before, as he canceled tour dates at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas in 2007. Since then, he has been praising Vocalzones, saying they are “the best throat pastilles in the world.”

But it looks like they didn’t help this time.
