"Harry Has Always Known He Was Number Two": The Prince Always Felt "Left Out" While Growing Up, Royal Reporter Claims
There are no doubts that Princess Diana adored her two sons William and Harry, but she was always worried for Prince Harry he would be overshadowed by his elder brother.
One documentary noted it "can be immensely difficult finding a role as the younger brother of the future King." And in fact, Prince Harry found it complicated.

The 34-year-old royal has always known he is "number two" in the royal family.
According to one royal reporter and editor, Ingrid Seward, Prince Harry was always "left out," while Prince William was on the top for every royal member, including the Queen.

Seward noted:
The Queen Mother used to say, "Come on William come and sit next to me", and little Harry would be completely left out.

Reportedly, Lady Diana was very "anxious" her son would feel this way. Before her tragic death, she tried her best to make sure Harry wouldn’t feel like he’s no. 2.

Although William and Harry have always had a close relationship, everybody treated Will as a future King, while Harry was a typical boy. The red-head seemingly felt isolated after his mum’s demise.
Leaving the royalty
Maybe, all these inequalities were contributing factors to why Prince Harry wanted to reject a royal life. The British royal once confessed he wanted to live an ordinary life in his 20’s, but stayed for the Queen to show his loyalty.

Perhaps, that’s why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are trying to have something on their own by having a separate household and royal duties apart from Prince William and Kate Middleton.
