Famous Rock Musician Who Was Ejected From A Plane For "Smelling Bad" Dies Of Necrosis A Month Later

Last month, a Transavia flight #HV5666 from Gran Canaria in Spain had to make an emergency landing after passengers started vomiting. The cause of the unsightly situation was a passenger who was emitting an awful smell.

Passengers on the plane said the man smelled as if he had not had a bath in weeks. Although staff on the plane tried to control the situation, the situation only got worse.

Eventually, the plane had to make an emergency landing in Faro, Southern Portugal in a detour from its original destination in Amsterdam, and the man was disembarked from the plane.

The man in question turns out to be Russian art-rock guitarist, Andrey Suchilin. He had been on vacation in Gran Canaria for a while and was on his way to Amsterdam when the incident occurred. Sadly, he passed on in Portugal after several surgeries.

Suchilin was suffering from tissue necrosis, a degenerative condition commonly caused by group A Streptococcus and was soon fighting for his life on arrival in Portugal. Doctors placed him in intensive care, but his condition only worsened.

Suchilin shared his story on Facebook and was quite amused at the time about the entire affair.

The tragic and comic component of this whole situation is that I caught a disease, which (let’s not say how and why) makes a person quite stinky. As a result, a group of passengers may demand the captain for you to be removed from the plane.

He eventually slipped into a coma during treatment. The 59-year-old died on June 25.

Symptoms of tissue necrosis can sometimes be mistaken for the flu. In Suchilin’s case, the doctor in Gran Canaria diagnosed him with “a simple beach infection” and provided him with antibiotics. Sometimes, patients will have a small bump on their skin that is painful and gradually becomes worse.

Also, there may be some oozing from the location. Eventually, the affected area may start to decay, forming blisters and lesions. Dizziness, nausea, vomiting, fever, and fatigue are some of the tell tale signs.

It is always advisable to consult a physician if these symptoms are experienced. Suchilin was one of the founding fathers of rock music in the old Soviet Union and was well known for his skill on the guitar. He will be sorely missed.
