On a perfect summer day, July 20, Eddie Murphy’s ex-wife Nicole was photographed kissing The Equalizer director, Antoine Fuqua. They were spotted out by their hotel’s pool in Ischia, Italy. The two were to attend the Ischia Global Festival there.
Antoine is a married man and has two children with actress, Lela Rochon: a daughter named Asia and a son called Brando. He has another kid, Zachary from his previous partner too.
On account of this inappropriacy, Nicole did try to clear the mess by denying any dating possibility. She explained to Lovebscott:
Antoine and I are just family friends. I ran into him in Italy and we exchanged a friendly hello and that was it.
People slammed them both
The commentators on Twitter found the whole thing very disturbing. They are anticipating the reaction of Fuqua’s wife. Some even recommended Lela to hire a divorce lawyer, Others were just hoped for karma to catch up and deemed it very inconsiderate.
Nicole is sorry for it
According to TMZ reports, Nicole had known Antoine’s marriage to be over. She then publically released a redeeming statement:
Without going into the entire situation, I want to apologize to my family, and to Lela and the Fuqua family for what transpired.
Nicole was once a married woman herself and her attempt to make amends is quite reasonable. But, will it be enough to salvage her and Antoine’s image?
