When Prince George was a toddler, he didn’t even know that he’s a prince! He and his little sister Charlotte are growing up like ordinary kids, and we can expect the Cambridges to use the same approach with their youngest one, Prince Louis.
Prince George is currently in Year 1 of school, and many fans of the royal family are wondering: how is the young prince doing there? Does he get special treatment from his teachers and classmates?

Prince George’s normal school life
Royal expert Katie Nicholl described George’s childhood as “surprisingly normal” in her latest piece for Vanity Fair.
Family friends spoke to Katie and said that the young prince is enjoying a regular carefree life of a five-year-old. He and Charlotte spend a lot of time outdoors and take part in various exciting activities, including gardening.

As for George’s school life, it’s unexpectedly ordinary as well. He studies at Thomas’s Battersea, a school in south London. The cost of one term is £6,000, so we can say the school is quite high-end.
Nevertheless, George’s classmates are ordinary kids and they don’t treat him like a superior – they treat him like a friend. A parent of George’s classmate said:
George is really happy at school, [and] his nickname is P.G. He’s very popular and has lots of friends, and there’s very little fuss made about who he is.
Either William or Kate do drop off, and they are always very friendly.

Prince George’s sister, Princess Charlotte, is slated to join her older brother at Thomas’s Battersea this September. It’s safe to assume the young princess will enjoy her school life as much as George does!
