Chrissy Teigen Splurges $72,000 As A Birthday Present To President Trump, But The Money Does Not Go To Him
In 2017, President Donald Trump blocked model and TV show host Chrissy Teigen from his Twitter account. Its came long after she established herself as one of his most visible social media critics.
What started out as personal statements about his personality and business ethics, soon turned to all-out attacks on his administrative polices. Her husband, John Legend, has also been critical of the president although he has always taken the tactful approach.

The couple also actively supports the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), whose manifesto is "to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed to every person in this country by the Constitution and laws of the United States."
In a surprising move, Teigen has announced that she is donating the sum of $72,000 to the ACLU in celebration of President Donald Trump’s 72nd birthday. She made this known yesterday via a post on her Instagram.
happy birthday
That is not all. She said every member of her family of four was also donating the same amount to the ACLU, bringing the total donation from her family to a whopping $288,000! In addition, she called on members of the public to join the drive and contribute what they can to the organization.
If you would like to donate $7.20, $72 or whatever you like to the ACLU in honor of this blessed day, please go to www.aclu.org/72.
Teigen has also been critical about President Trump’s immigration policies and his policies pushing for the separation of immigrant families without proper documentation. Several other celebrities have also been speaking out on the subject, calling President Trump’s plans cruel and inhumane.
I am so sad and feel so helpless about the families being separated. This is beyond inhumane…I am just appalled. I am grateful for those sharing how to engage and help, thank God for you. The idea that there is anyone who believes this is justice is simply heartbreaking.

Today, I am far removed from that lost little girl who desperately missed her mother. But as I watch the Trump administration forcibly separating children from parents as they make their way to the United States looking for refuge, my heart breaks. https://t.co/pnRXE7xPDa

President Trump has insisted that the American economy is suffering due to the influx of foreigners and has stated his intention to tighten the borders and greatly reduce the number of foreigners settling in the country.
