The upcoming wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is one of the most extensively discussed topics these days. Finding the perfect outfit for a wedding day is not an easy task. But when you are a member of the royal family, you may not have a say on the subject at all.

Remember the spectacular wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton back in 2011? Oh, it was one of the most beautiful weddings. And, of course, Kate’s dress entered the top of the most luxurious royal wedding dresses:

The Duke of Cambridge sported a colorful navy uniform of the Colonel, Irish Guards.

And while the outfit suited the prince nicely, wearing it was rather a duty than a free choice of the groom.

But things are different when it comes to the big day of Prince of Wales and the charming Suits star. According to Alastair Bruce, Ceremonial Expert and the Royal Commentator for Sky News, Harry does not have to wear a navy uniform, reports Cosmopolitan.

As Prince Harry is no longer a serving officer in the Armed Forces, it is unlikely he will wear a uniform. However, he could, if he wishes, as he holds a special position as a Member of the Royal Family.

The expert also suggested that the place the main ceremony will be held at may affect Prince Harry’s pick of the suitable outfit.

If they choose to marry in St George’s Chapel, as the Earl of Wessex did, I would expect he would choose Morning Dress.

And since we already know that the wedding will indeed take place at the said church, we can expect to see Prince Harry wearing a lovely formal daytime suit. Just like he wore at the wedding of Kate Middleton’s little sister Pippa in May 2017.

Or even earlier, at the wedding of Laura Parker Bowles and Harry Lopes back in 2006.

On the other hand, he may after all choose the uniform from his military days – the one of the Captain in the Blues and Royals – the expert suggests.

Now, we have to wait until May 2018 to see if Alastair Bruce was right on this matter. Meanwhile, we can try to imagine how these gorgeous royal suits and uniforms will look alongside the gorgeous dresses by Delphine Manivet and Christos Costarellos. Back in 2016, Meghan Markle said that those would be perfect for her own wedding day.
