Meghan Markle has got skills

Her calligraphy interest does not get the same attention as her acting chops and activism, but she was pretty good at it.

She worked part-time with the Beverly Hills based store, Paper Source, teaching calligraphy, gift-wrapping, and book-binding.

She was so good at it that Robin Thicke and ex-wife Paula Patton requested her services for their wedding in 2005.

Is she giving up calligraphy too?

Since she joined the royal family, the Duchess of Sussex has had to let go of many aspects of her past life. She put a lid on her acting career and closed her lifestyle blog, The Tig, as well as her personal social media accounts.

But, it would seem that she has had to let go of even her calligraphy interest to some extent. Her most recent signature dated March 2018, Belfast, shows a remarkable difference from all her previous writings.

A writing expert, Tracey Trussell, told Express.co.uk that Markle’s writing has become less formal. According to Trussell, the new change lifts the lid on her and reflects a more human duchess.

Trussell also said Markle’s writing reveals her commitment, her humanitarian side, perfectionism, desire for beauty, and sensitivity among other things.

Public scrutiny

As Markle makes the transition to royal life, she has been under a lot of scrutiny.

For good measure, Traci Brown, body language expert, told Elle Magazine that the Duchess of Sussex appears even more relaxed and comfortable in the public eye than she has ever been.
