A popular Canadian comedian Katherine Ryan jokingly commented on Celine Dion’s marriage with her late love René Angélil. Wasn’t it too harsh to make jokes about someone who already left this world?

The Canadian stand-up comic Katherine Ryan is well-known for her exceptional sense of humor. That’s why actually fans love her performances so much.
However, we know someone who may not like Katherine’s latest joke. It’s a popular singer Celine Dion. What did Katherine say about the music Diva?
In a new Netflix stand-up special, Ryan slammed Celine for the ‘enormous’ 26-year-age gap with her late husband René Angélil.
But the age difference is not the major thing that ‘worries’ the comedian. Ryan pointed out that Celine started dating René when she was just 12, while he was 38.
Katherine said:
Celine Dion’s husband met her when he was 38 years old and she was…does anybody know? She was 12!
She added:
The whole world collectively decided to let that one slide.
Though it’s Ok for some girls to look for a ‘father figure’ in a future husband, Ryan obviously has another vision of the matter.
Further in her monologue, Katherine compared Celine’s late husband with an American singer R Kelly.
Katherine joked:
I don’t know who the real victim is there – but I kind of feel like it’s R Kelly somehow.

Celine and René: when two people belong together
Well, everyone has a right to express his/her opinion openly. Nevertheless, in Celine Dion’s defense, the singer confessed she and René didn’t cross the line of adult relationship before she turned 18.
