George and Amal Clooney rarely talk about their relationship. For a long time, the official version of their acquaintance was a meeting at one of the charitable events in the fall of 2013. However, as it turns out, the Ocean’s 11 star didn’t even have to leave the house!
How it all began
Their first meeting took place in the summer of 2013, when the human rights attorney was traveling from London to Cannes. A friend of Amal decided to slightly change the route and visit George’s mansion first. The actor’s agent had already met Amal, so he called the star and said:
I met this woman who’s coming to your house who you’re going to marry.
The funny thing is that his parents came to him that evening. They just talked together all night. After that, Amal and George exchanged e-mail addresses – she wanted to send him some photos of his parents.

As the attorney was incredibly charming and beautiful, it’s no wonder she won the heart of the most eligible bachelor. In a year, Clooney popped the question over a romantic dinner. And three years later, the pair welcomed adorable twins – Ella and Alexander.
On Amal as a mother
Now, George is a proud father and husband, and he cannot help but gush about his kids and his stunning wife. Actually, since she is wonderful at everything she does, it’s no surprise she’s good at parenting as well.
She is sort of this remarkable human being and now mother.

While talking about his family, the actor also addresses the choice of such traditional names. The 56-year-old reveals that he and his beloved didn’t want to give their babies ridiculous Hollywood names to give them a break from scrutiny.
They’ll already have enough difficulty bearing the weight of their celebrity.

On another unexpected neighbor
But there’s another person living at one of the celeb’s houses – a Yazidi refugee. The couple even helped him get an education, so now, he studies at the University of Chicago. Amal became acquainted with Hazim through her advocacy. She represented a group of Yezidi refugees who became victims of the ISIS genocide in the last two years.

Having learned about the refugee’s desire to get higher education, she and her husband decided to help him make his dream come true. And this is not the only refugee who gets help from the celeb couple. In fact, The Clooney Foundation for Justice is going to open schools for hundreds of kids in Lebanon.
